An accessory set from the Japanese brand Bandai meant for varying the appearance of the character you are building. The name says two essential things: this is the sixth item in the hairstyle range, and it is a package carrying all four types from this batch together. It is not a kit in its own right; it is an accessory fitted to a model already built.
Bandai uses snap-fit construction. The plastic is already colored right through and the individual sections join by snapping together, so you assemble the model without glue and without paints. Separate the parts with nippers a small distance from the edge and then trim the rest of the gate with a sharp knife and go over it with a fine abrasive. On hair parts that deserves particular attention: the gates tend to be in visible places and a roughly nipped remnant shows at once on a smooth surface.
Painting is not necessary, but it pays off. Anyone who wants to can paint the parts in the usual way: degrease them, key them lightly, spray them with a primer and apply the paint with an airbrush or a brush. On hair, fine transitions and a light wash in the recesses to bring out the strands work well. A final matte varnish unifies the sheen and rids the plastic of its artificial glitter, while a gloss varnish prepares a base if you are going to use decals.
Before buying, check which range of kits you want to use the set with; the name does not make that unambiguous.
