ORANGE BROWN

AK interactive Orange Brown — modeling acrylic paint, 17 ml

A water-based acrylic paint from the AFV Series modeling line by the Spanish maker AK interactive. The Orange Brown shade is a warm brown-orange, which the maker places among the colors of modern Russian vehicles. In practice it suits the multicolor camouflage of armored and wheeled equipment of recent decades, but also serves as a universal earthy tone for dioramas and as an underpainting for rusty areas. The paint comes in a bottle with a volume of 17 ml and once dry it leaves a matte surface, which on scale military equipment looks natural and does not break the impression of size.

Use

• It is applied with a brush as well as an airbrush; for the airbrush it is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner from the same maker.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when it stands for a while.
• You will get the best coverage in two or three thin coats on a degreased base treated with a primer.
• The warm brown-orange tone also works well as a base for rust effects and as a supplementary shade in three-color camouflage.
• Do not thin a water-based acrylic with lacquer or enamel thinners, as the two chemistries do not go together.

Who the paint is for

For modelers who build modern armor and are looking for a color matching the multicolor camouflage of current vehicles. It also finds use in building dioramas, where a warm earthy tone is needed for terrain, wood or corrosion. Given the water base it is a good choice for modelers who want to work without aggressive thinners, including beginners and those who paint mainly with a brush.

The paint is intended for modeling use. Keep it out of the reach of children, do not swallow it and make sure there is enough ventilation and respiratory protection when spraying. Close the bottle carefully after use and protect it from frost.
