A Green Stuff World tool for preparing the surface of oval bases. It works on the principle of a cookie cutter: you lay it on rolled-out epoxy compound, a cork sheet, a texture sheet or thin plastic, press, and get a precise oval that fits into a base without lengthy trimming and fitting. That stage tends to be the most tiresome part of making bases and the one that produces the most waste.

Use

• Roll the epoxy compound out on a smooth surface to an even thickness, and only then cut.
• Press a texture into the compound - paving, planks, crushed stone - and cut the shape out last.
• Cork and foam sheets cut better with a slight rocking movement than with pressure from above.
• Sand the edges of the cut-out so that they line up with the edge of the base.
• Wipe the tool right after working with compound; dried remains are much harder to remove.

Who the tool is for

For figure modelers and tabletop gamers who make bases in larger batches and want them all to look equally clean. It saves time above all where dozens of pieces of one army are involved and trimming every base by hand would stretch the work out by whole hours.

The cutting edges are sharp - work on a firm surface and store it out of the reach of children. Compound, cork and bases are not included in the package.
