A mixing jar from Tamiya with a capacity of 46 ml. It is an empty clear glass jar with a lid in which you mix paint with thinner. It is neither paint nor thinner: it comes empty and no paint is included in the package. On the side there is a printed scale (a measure) and a panel for a note where you can write down the ratio you mixed.

Why the measure decides

The main advantage is repeatability. Measure the paint to one mark and the thinner to another, write the ratio down, and when the paint runs out or you come back weeks later to spray a repair, you will mix exactly the same shade and the same consistency. Guessing by eye will not do it: the second batch usually comes out differently saturated or differently thin, and it shows on the model. The clear wall also lets you watch the level and the mixing as you go.

• Mixing your own shades and preparing paint thinned for the airbrush.
• A larger batch at once: 46 ml is enough even for spraying more extensive areas, so you do not have to top up in the middle of the work.
• Keeping the rest of the mixed paint, thanks to a lid with an inner seal.
• Suitable for acrylic, enamel and lacquer paints, but always one chemistry in one jar and with the right thinner (acrylic X-20A, enamel X-20, lacquer LP-10).

The jar comes empty. Paints and thinners are not included in the package. After use, clean the jar and the lid with the matching thinner. Keep out of the reach of children.
