A 3D-printed (PRINT) cockpit detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, from the Brassin range, for a more faithful rendering of the cockpit of the Curtiss P-40N Warhawk fighter in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the plastic cockpit parts from the box with finely printed elements at high resolution. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the base kit.

The real subject

The Curtiss P-40N was the late and lightened version of the American Warhawk fighter of the Second World War. The cockpit holds the pilot's seat, the instrument panel, the side consoles and a number of levers and details that this set reproduces in the reduced scale.

Building tips

Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. The details of the cockpit come into their own after painting, a wash to bring them out and dry-brushing.
