Paint palette 8 x PAINT TRAY – limited edition

Paint palette 8 x Paint Tray, limited edition (77propeller)

A paint palette with eight separate trays. Into each tray you take out only as much paint as you will really use during the work, so the jar does not have to be opened needlessly and the paint in it does not dry up. The manufacturer lists the item as a limited edition. This is an aid for the modeling bench, not a paint, a thinner or a glue.

Use

• Taking a small amount of paint out of a jar before brushwork, so that the rest of the supply is not spoiled.
• Mixing shades and preparing transitional tones for highlighting and shading.
• Thinning paint to a suitable consistency before application, and with acrylics before filling an airbrush as well.
• Keeping several shades side by side while painting a figure, an interior or small parts, where the shades change often.

Practical advice

Clean the trays after the work before the paint dries. Acrylic paints need only rinsing with water or with the matching cleaner, while for enamels and varnishes use the thinner recommended by the maker of the paint. Use solvent-based products in a well ventilated space and protect your skin, and with varnishes and enamels count on a stronger smell. Store the palette dry, because dried remains of paint in the trays make mixing the next shade worse.

Who the palette is for

• Modelers who paint with a brush and need to have their shades clearly side by side.
• Figure painters who work with a great many shades and transitions.
• Anyone who wants to thin paint outside the jar and not spoil the supply.
• Anyone after a tidy bench where the paint taken out has its place.

The paints, the thinners and the brushes are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
