A pin pusher with a wooden handle and a hundred pins from Model Craft: a tool for pushing a pin home without a hammer.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tool with which you push a small pin into wood or board without a hammer. The handle is wooden and is held like a pencil, so you have the tip exactly where you need it and do not have to hit a head with a blow. The package holds a hundred black pins about 7.5 mm long. According to the manufacturer the tool will push a pin even into plywood 9 mm thick. The pin is placed in the tip and the tool guides it straight, so it neither bends nor slides off to one side.
Set the pin in the tip, hold the tool square to the surface and push with steady pressure from the palm, not with a jolt. In harder material, drill a pilot hole with a thin bit so that the pin does not bend and the wood does not split. Do not push the tool at an angle, because that bends the tip. After work, check that no pin has stayed jammed in the tip.
For railroad modelers, builders of wooden ship models and anyone who works with small pins where a blow from a hammer would do more harm than good. A hundred pins in the package is enough for a fair amount of work.
The pins are sharp and small. Keep them out of the reach of children and work with your other hand clear of the path of the tip.
