A finished structural element for a scene: a brick wall with posts and with a top of rounded roof tiles of the Mediterranean type, the kind seen on southern European houses and low walls. The wall is rendered as cracked, that is with disturbed masonry and with fissures, so it suits scenes where it is to be seen that something passed through the place. The name states the size: 12.5 by 6.5 centimeters. At 1:35 scale the longer side matches roughly four and a half meters of real wall.
A wall is a rewarding element in a modeling scene, because it does two things at once: it gives the scene a background and at the same time sets the scale. Only beside it do you see how large a vehicle is. The posts moreover divide the area into panels, so the wall does not come across as a bare strip, and the top of tiles closes the upper edge which would otherwise have to be finished off. The part is supplied with a base coat, so the surface is ready for painting straight away.
Work from the whole to the detail: first a continuous tone of masonry, then a dark wash into the joints and fissures and finally a dry brush on the edges of the bricks and on the edges of the tiles. Set the tiles apart in color from the masonry, otherwise the whole wall will merge. Support the cracks with a darker shade inside and a lighter one on the bared edge, and at the bottom add dust and a deposit of soil to suit the ground. Fix the part to a base with a glue suitable for the material and cover the joint at the foot with terrain material, so the wall does not stand in the scene like an object laid down.
