About product

Tamiya PS-28 Fluorescent Green Spray (100 ml)

An aerosol lacquer spray from the PS range for polycarbonate (Lexan) bodies of RC models. A fluorescent (neon-bright) green with high luminosity for maximum visibility of the model on the track. The coat is flexible, it does not crack on a pliable body, and it dries quickly.

Use

  • It is applied from the back (inner) side of the clear body.
  • The fluorescent shade has weaker coverage - it comes out brightest over a white backing coat applied from the inside.
  • Apply several thin coats for the full neon effect.
  • It fades gradually in direct sunlight - a property of fluorescent paints.

Who it is for

For modelers of RC cars who want a strikingly visible body; it combines well with other neon shades.

The PS range is for polycarbonate and Lexan. Apply it to ordinary polystyrene with care - lacquer chemistry can etch thin plastic; test it on an offcut. Flammable, use with good ventilation away from sources of fire.

FAQ

Apply the paint in several thin coats over a white backing coat inside the body - fluorescent shades cover poorly on their own.

In direct sunlight the fluorescent pigment gradually loses its brightness; it is a property of this type of paint.

On polycarbonate (Lexan) bodies of RC models, applied from the inside. On polystyrene only with care and after a test.
