PS30 Brilliant Blue Spray

Tamiya PS-30 Brilliant Blue, a brilliant blue in a 100 ml spray

A pure blue shifted toward the bright end, from the Tamiya PS range. Chemically the range is a lacquer and it is intended for the flexible polycarbonate bodies of radio-controlled models, not for styrene plastic kits. The can holds 100 ml and is ready for immediate use; the paint is not thinned.

Use

• Painting is done from the inside of the body, so the finished model has the gloss given by the plastic itself and the coat cannot be rubbed off against obstacles
• Brilliant shades look best when they are backed with white coverage; over a black backing the blue darkens and loses its sparkle
• Apply thinly and leave a few minutes between the coats so that the solvent can escape and the surface does not wrinkle
• If you want a two-color scheme, plan the order in advance, because painting in reverse does not tolerate improvisation
• Remove the inner protective film before spraying and degrease the surface

Who it is for

For builders of radio-controlled cars who want a rich blue area without any haze, whether to reproduce a particular racing scheme or for a design of their own. The blue from this range is bright enough to work as the main color and it takes combination with white, silver and fluorescent accents. It also suits a quick repaint of a spare body without the need for an airbrush.

Safety at work: the can is under pressure and the contents are flammable. Spray outdoors or in a thoroughly ventilated area, away from open flame, sparks and heaters, with a respirator and eye protection. Keep a distance of roughly twenty-five to thirty centimeters from the surface, and always test the behavior of the nozzle on waste material before spraying in earnest. Do not pierce the can, do not throw it into fire and do not store it at temperatures above forty degrees. Keep out of the reach of children.
