Responsibility details are not available.
A matte water-based acrylic paint from the 3rd Generation Acrylics range, AFV series, intended for military vehicles. A 17 ml bottle with a cap in the color of the shade. A water-thinnable, non-toxic formula with high pigmentation and covering power, suitable for both brush and airbrush. This is a modeling paint; it is not a kit and not a model.
Dunkelgelb replaced the previous dark gray Dunkelgrau in February 1943 as the base shade of German armored vehicles; green and brown camouflage patches were then sprayed over it. Dunkelgelb was never one single color, however. A number of firms made it, the formula changed during the war because of shortages of raw materials, the tone varied between plants and between batches, and the color also changed shade quickly as it faded in the sun. That is why several forms of the same standard exist, and the modeler chooses according to the particular machine, period and front.
This variant represents the 1944 issue, that is, the late form of the shade from the last year of the war, when the formula shifted because of shortages of raw materials and changes among the makers. Late Dunkelgelb is usually described as less deeply yellow and pulled more toward a grayish brown tone. Reach for it for machines of 1944 and 1945, typically with camouflage applied at unit level. For vehicles from the first year after the shade was introduced the Initial variant is more suitable, and to capture the variation between makers and batches the Variant version. The base for early machines before 1943 is RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau.
For modelers who build German vehicles of the last year of the war and want a shade matching the period, not a general purpose dark yellow.
A water-based acrylic paint. Shake thoroughly before use. When spraying with an airbrush, work in a well-ventilated area and do not inhale the mist. Keep out of the reach of children.
