About product

Plastruct Rectangular Strip 0.3x1.0 mm (250 mm long)

A precisely extruded plastic (polystyrene) profile of a very fine rectangular section, 0.3x1.0 mm, and 250 mm long. It is not a kit but a modeling material for making your own parts (scratch-building) and for fine detailing. The thin white polystyrene shapes, cuts and glues well.

Use

  • Fine battens, frames, edging and suggested rivets or seams.
  • Adding small details on models of aircraft, vehicles and buildings.
  • Making your own parts for model railroading and dioramas.

Usage tips

Because of the small section, cut with a sharp knife along the length and lightly, so that the profile does not break. Bond it with thin liquid polystyrene cement, which wicks into the joint. Apply a primer before painting for even coverage.

  • Modelers working with fine details and surface features.
  • Builders of dioramas, mock-ups and railroad models.

The package contains one piece of the profile. Glue, paints and tools are not included.
