About product

AMMO Rigging Fine 0.03 mm, rigging thread

An elastic rigging thread 0.03 mm thick from AMMO of Mig Jimenez. It is a slightly thicker variant of fine rigging, intended for realistically imitating rigging, bracing wires and antennas on plastic models. The thread is elastic, can be stretched between two points and holds its shape. It is a modeling accessory, not a paint and not a kit.

Use

  • Rigging and bracing wires of biplanes and aircraft of the First World War
  • Rigging and lines on ship models
  • Antennas and taut wires on aircraft and vehicles
  • The thread is stretched between anchor points and secured with a drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate)
  • Once glued, the material can be painted over and matched to the model

Who it is for

For modelers who want to raise the realism of a model with firm and visible rigging. The 0.03 mm gauge is a little more pronounced than the finest variants and suits places where the rigging should stand out better. The elastic thread does not break or twist when stretched and is easy to work with.

An accessory for models. Super glue and a model are not included in the package. Separate and stretch the thread carefully and trim the excess once the glue has dried.

FAQ

The 0.03 mm thread is a little thicker, so it is more pronounced. The use is the same: rigging, bracing wires and antennas on models of aircraft and ships.

Yes, the thread is elastic. It is stretched between anchor points and thanks to its elasticity it stays taut and does not slacken.

The ends of the thread are secured with a drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Once dry, the thread can be painted over.
