Magnets belong among the unobtrusive but very practical aids in building models and dioramas. They join two parts so that they hold firmly while you can separate or turn them at any time. They are used on the turret and hull of a vehicle, on removable covers and hatches, on armament under pylons, on a figure and its base or on a sectioned diorama that has to come apart for transport. This item carries the rotation designation in size XL, that is the largest version in the range. A larger magnet holds a heavier part but also needs a deeper recess.
A magnet standing out above the surface keeps the parts from seating, so it is better to recess it. Take care that the glue does not get between the mating surfaces, otherwise the joint loses part of its holding force. With thin walls, check that drilling does not break through the surface on the other side. Do not leave payment cards, mechanical watches or sensitive electronics near the magnets, and keep them out of reach of children, because they are dangerous if swallowed.
The dimensions, the number of pieces and the holding force are stated on the manufacturer's packaging. Glue, tools and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
