The cap widens the round spray pattern, so a single pass covers a larger piece of surface than a tighter setting does. It is intended for airbrushes of the Premium Mobius line and suits every job where a smooth even area matters more than detail.
The narrower the stream, the more passes you need for the area to come out evenly. And every further pass raises the risk that the edge of the previous coat will start to set and leave a visible transition behind it. A wider pattern cuts the number of passes and the coats blend better. It is appreciated above all by modelers working in large scales and by builders of vehicles with broad smooth surfaces, where every irregularity in the paint shows at first glance.
With a wider cone the paint consumption rises and so does the amount of overspray in the air, so set up extraction or at least a well-ventilated workspace and a respirator. Keep the same distance throughout the pass and do not slow down at the ends, or paint will build up at the edges. Clean the part after work and store it so that it cannot bend; even a slight deformation of the rim shows in the spray pattern.
It is supplied on its own, without an airbrush and without paints or cleaning agents.
