1:500 Walker Machine Xabungle Irongear 2nd is a kit of the large machine from the Xabungle series in 1:500 scale. It has been prepared by Hasegawa.

A kit of the massive Irongear machine from the Japanese animated series Xabungle, which was broadcast at the beginning of the 1980s. The 1:500 scale and the 2nd designation come from the name of the item; the tooling was made by Hasegawa. The numeral in the name sets this form of the machine apart from the earlier release of the Irongear in the same scale.
Xabungle is set on a scorched planet where people move about in walking work and combat machines and where large mobile bases serve their crews as home and transport at once. The Irongear is exactly such a giant: a moving ship that carries smaller machines, workshops and people, and that at the same time acts as a striking character in the story. The silhouette of the machine is unmistakable, and in a small scale its mass and its detail stand out.
Check the large flat parts against the light and fill any gaps, as they show most on the hull. Apply the base shades with an airbrush in thin coats so the fine engraving does not disappear. The detail is brought out by a dark wash running into the recesses and by light lightening of the edges with a dry brush.
The machine comes broken down into parts and without a finish; the package contains no paints or glue.
