A sprayer for scenic work with a container with a volume of 236 ml. It creates a fine mist that does not wash spread material away.
Responsibility details are not available.
In terrain work a sprayer is the tool the whole procedure of fixing loose materials rests on. Stone, sand and static grass cannot be poured over with a stream of liquid: the impact of the liquid sweeps them away before the binder has time to take hold. The solution is wetting with a fine mist, which only dampens a surface and leaves the material in place. An ordinary household spray head cannot manage this, because it gives coarse drops.
The container takes 236 ml. It therefore lasts for long work without frequent refilling and at the same time it can be handled with one hand over a scene in progress. The other hand thus stays free for a sieve, tweezers or a bottle of binder, which during the fixing of loose layers matters more than it seems at first glance.
While working it pays off to hold the nozzle higher than one is used to; from a greater distance the mist falls more slowly and the material does not move even on the edge of a slope. Once finished it is good to rinse the container with clean water, because dried binder blocks the nozzle and the flow no longer returns to its original state. The tool suits outside terrain work too, for example for dampening a base evenly when gluing decorative films.
