Scratch Brush Set Refill – Soft nylon

Scratch Brush Set Refill - Soft nylon - a replacement brush of soft nylon

A replacement working part for the Green Stuff World scratch brush set, fitted with soft nylon fibers. Of all the refill options this is the gentlest: nylon will not scratch a surface but reliably wipes dust, small dirt and loose pigment off it. It suits everywhere metal or glass fibers would be too aggressive and would mark the surface of a model.

Use

• dusting a model and removing loose pigment from a surface
• cleaning plastic parts and fine engraving with no risk of scratching
• sweeping dust and small residue out of corners, grilles and vents
• cleaning a finished painted surface before the next step
• replacing a worn refill in the holder from the brush set

Who it is for

The refill will be used by modelers who already have the holder from the set and need the fine option for finishing work. It will be appreciated especially by painters of figures and builders of dioramas, where pigments are involved and the excess needs wiping off gently, and by collectors who simply keep finished models in a display case clean. Anyone who needs to remove rust and oxidation from metal, by contrast, will reach for a harder refill option from the same range.

This is a replacement refill on its own - the handle and the other fiber options are not included in the package. Even with soft fibers, work with care on delicate surfaces and try the procedure first in a place that is not on view.
