About product

Mr.Paint Sea Blue (FS 35042 / ANA607) 30 ml

A lacquer (solvent-based) modeling paint from Mr.Paint in a 30 ml bottle. The Sea Blue shade corresponds to the FS 35042 / ANA607 standard — the deep dark navy blue carried by the carrier-based aircraft of the US Navy at the end of the Second World War and in the postwar years. The paint has a thin consistency, is pre-thinned and ready for immediate airbrush application.

Use

  • Intended exclusively for airbrush application: it is not suitable for the brush.
  • It is applied in thin coats over a primer; the recommended pressure is roughly 10–25 PSI.
  • With a common nozzle the pre-thinned version needs no further thinning; for fine work it can be thinned with a suitable thinner from the same manufacturer (Mr.Paint).
  • It dries quickly and gives even, opaque surfaces suitable for overall naval camouflage.
  • Clean the airbrush and the cup after work with lacquer thinner or a cleaner.

Who it is for

For modelers building American US Navy carrier aircraft who work with an airbrush and lacquer paints and want a faithful shade to the FS/ANA standard.

The paint is flammable and contains organic solvents. Work in a well-ventilated space, use respiratory protection, keep it away from open flame and out of the reach of children.
