SET “6” 4 x AIRBRUSH TEMPLATE, AIRBRUSH STENCILS 90 MM X 60 MM “WOOD TEXTURE”

Set 6, four spraying stencils 90 x 60 mm with a wood texture

This is not a model but a set of modeling aids. According to the name the package contains four spraying stencils measuring 90 x 60 mm with a wood structure motif. They are laid on a painted part and the pattern of growth rings and joints is applied with an airbrush through the cut-outs, onto decks, crates, beds, floorboards or diorama bases. The advantage of the set lies precisely in the number: with four different stencils the motif can be alternated so that it does not repeat noticeably on adjacent areas, which is the greatest pitfall with a single stencil.

Use

• Divide the area into parts and use a different stencil from the set on each one; the eye notices a repeating pattern sooner than a missing detail.
• The stencil can be turned by a few degrees each time it is laid on; the pattern then looks as random as real wood.
• Spray thinly and several times, with the paint well thinned, so that no ridge forms at the cut-outs.
• Clean the stencils after work while the paint is fresh; a dried layer narrows the cut-outs and distorts the motif next time.
• Store the cleaned stencils flat between hard sheets so that they do not warp.

Who the set is for

For modelers and diorama builders who do wooden surfaces repeatedly and for whom one stencil is not enough. It pays off on larger scenes, decks and load areas where variety of motif is needed. The set also suits anyone who knows they will be working with wood texture regularly and wants several motifs at hand.

This is a set of aids for spraying, not paints or a model. Paints and an airbrush are not included in the package. The material, the thickness of the stencils and the particular motifs are stated on the box.
