Mr.Paint Silk Grey (RAL 7044)

A lacquer modeling shade from the manufacturer Mr.Paint (MRP) in a 30 ml bottle. The paint is pre-thinned and ready to spray with an airbrush straight from the bottle. The shade corresponds to the RAL 7044 Silk Grey standard and it is used, among other things, on the camouflage schemes of Israeli Air Force aircraft. It is thinned exclusively with lacquer thinner, which also cleans the airbrush.

Use

• spraying with an airbrush in thin coats, ideally at a pressure of about 10 to 25 psi
• a base covering coat of surfaces and camouflage fields
• thin with lacquer thinner if needed
• flush the airbrush with lacquer cleaner after the work
• apply onto a degreased, ideally primed surface

What to watch out for

This is a lacquer, not an acrylic or an enamel paint. Do not mix it and do not thin it with water or with enamel thinner. Lacquer paints hold well and dry quickly, but the vapors are more aggressive than those of acrylics.
