A pair of small clamps with a 40 mm opening from Model Craft. They hold glued parts until the joint has cured.
Responsibility details are not available.
With a glued joint the first minute decides everything. If the part moves at that moment the joint holds, but in the wrong position, and putting it right means breaking it apart and starting again. A clamp solves that problem by holding the part itself, leaving your hands free for other work. An opening of forty millimeters covers most modeling situations, that is gluing walls, bulkheads, floors and wooden strips and bringing the halves of a hull together. There are two in the package, which is a sensible minimum with clamps, because a joint is usually secured from two places.
The clamps suit builders of wooden ship and building models, where larger surfaces and longer strips are glued, and plastic modelers too, who need to squeeze the halves of a hull together. Anyone working with slow-setting glues, where a part simply will not stay put without a clamp, will appreciate them as well. Two clamps are also the minimum for a joint that is to be secured from two places at once.
Store out of the reach of children. Do not leave the clamps permanently closed, as the spring loses its strength over time.
