A limited edition from the Czech maker Eduard (Obrnice near Most) in 1:48 scale. As a Dual Combo it contains two complete models of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M3 Zero carrier fighter — it makes it possible to build the Type 22 and the Type 32, which differ above all in the shape of the wing. Photo-etched parts aimed at the cockpit, masking templates and decals with a number of marking variants are included; paints and glue are not.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the legendary carrier fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy, famous for its excellent agility and long range. The A6M3 version brought modifications to the engine and the armament; the Type 32 had shortened square wing tips, while the Type 22 returned to the longer wing with a greater range. The edition covers machines fielded between 1942 and 1944, among others over Guadalcanal and in the defense of Rabaul.
Make use of the photo-etched parts enclosed for the cockpit and of the masking templates for the glazing of the canopy. Glue the plastic with thin cement and apply a primer before the airbrush. Pay attention to the shape of the wing tips according to the version you choose. Light Japanese naval schemes will appreciate fine shading and careful application of the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
