The Spray-Work HG Airbrush III from the manufacturer Tamiya is an airbrush of the higher class (HG for High Grade) with classic button control from above. It has a gravity feed paint cup mounted on top (a volume of roughly 7 ml) and a nozzle 0.3 mm in diameter. It is a double action airbrush: pressing the button releases the air and drawing it back regulates the amount of paint, so that you have full control over the spray. It manages fine lines under 1 mm as well as broad and glossy coats. Tamiya acrylic, enamel and lacquer paints can be used (always thinned with the appropriate thinner). The airbrush is compatible with Tamiya compressors.

Use

• all-round spraying of models: base coats, covering coats, shading and smooth transitions
• double action button control for precise regulation of the ratio of air and paint
• the gravity feed cup on top ensures a smooth supply of paint even at low pressure
• thinning the paint to the right consistency for spraying and setting a suitable air pressure
• after work a thorough flush with thinner and cleaning of the nozzle, so that it does not clog

Who the airbrush is for

Suitable for moderately advanced and advanced modelers who want a quality, versatile airbrush with classic button control. Anyone who prefers a more comfortable grip and trigger control (as on a pistol) should consider the trigger version HG Trigger-Type; for the finest lines there is the Super Fine version with a 0.2 mm nozzle. A source of compressed air, that is a compressor, is needed to run it.

A safety note: spray in a well-ventilated space and use a respirator or a mask, because an aerosol of paint and solvents is released. Solvent-based paints and thinners are flammable, so work away from open flame. Keep out of the reach of children.
