Static grass is the basic scenery material for creating a grassy surface. It is fine synthetic fiber 6.5 mm long in a brown shade, supplied in a 50 g package. It is not a finished turf and not a kit, but a loose material that the modeler applies themselves, thereby deciding the shape, the density and the color make-up of the growth. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Model Scene, which specializes in diorama vegetation.
The brown shade matches dry, sun-scorched or late autumn grass, stubble after harvest, the edges of field tracks and trampled areas around structures. It is also used as a supplementary tone in green growth, so that the area does not read as single-colored and dead. A length of 6.5 mm gives tall, overgrown grass in the smaller scales, while in larger scales such as 1:35 it corresponds rather to medium grass at road shoulders and fences.
This is a scenery material, not a model kit. The glue, the applicator and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
