A Green Stuff World display plinth with a straight back wall, in a black finish and with a 5x5x5 cm size designation. It differs from an ordinary board in that the model is not only standing on something but also in front of something. A back wall closes the scene off and replaces whatever would otherwise be visible behind the model. It is a presentation accessory, not a model or a part of one.
The most frequent reason a photograph of a model looks worse than the model itself is not bad light but a distracting background. The edge of a table, a cable or a patterned wall break up the outline before the eye has time to notice. A straight wall behind the model settles that problem by the simplest possible route: it cuts the room away and lets the silhouette stand out. A black finish also reflects less light than light areas, so a reflection of the light source is easier to avoid on the wall.
The 5x5x5 cm format is the smallest of the three sizes offered and is aimed at small figures, small busts and intimate scenes, where attention should be gathered into a single point. It will be appreciated above all by anyone who photographs their models and does not want to build a makeshift paper background every time.
