A themed set of model markers devoted to tactical markings. Insignia and numbers were rarely painted on a smooth area on vehicles: they went over rivets, over rounded corners and over stowed loads, and in the field someone often painted them in freehand or through a stencil. A decal reaches such a place with difficulty, whereas with a tip you draw the marking directly on the model.
The color comes straight from the tip, with no mixing and no airbrush. The set belongs among the markers for accenting and aging a surface, so it also suits touching up markings that are already finished.
Wash and degrease the area beforehand. Draw the shape of the marking on paper first and measure it out on the model, so that the size and the spacing fit. Draw in one movement and do not go over a corner twice. Apply thin coats and let them dry, because saturation comes from repetition, not from pressure. Try to correct an unsuccessful stroke before it dries. The exact procedure for this set is given in the instructions on the packaging.
It suits a modeler who draws markings himself, completes an incomplete decal sheet or builds a vehicle with markings on an uneven area. The package holds the set of markers stated; the model, decals, further paints and clear coats are not included, unless stated otherwise.
