WAFFEN GREEN – FIGURES

Waffen Green - Figures, an acrylic paint from AK interactive

This is a water-based acrylic modeling paint from the 3rd Generation Acrylic range. It is thinned with water or with the acrylic thinner of the same manufacturer and it does not take mixing with lacquers or with synthetic enamels. The figures label indicates that the shade belongs to the part of the range the manufacturer put together for painting figures, uniforms and equipment. The green tone in this part of the range tends to be broken rather than brightly saturated, because muted colors look more convincing in a small scale. It is used for the green areas of Second World War camouflage patterns and for ordinary uniform and equipment items.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before work, the pigment settles at the bottom.
• Apply the paint in thin coats to a primed and degreased surface.
• For a brush it is ready as it is. For an airbrush, thin it with water or with acrylic thinner.
• When painting a multicolor pattern, let each coat dry properly, otherwise the edges smear.
• Wash the brushes out with water right after work; dried acrylic is hard to get out of the bristles.
• At the end, even the surface out with a matte or satin acrylic varnish.

Who the paint is for

For figure modelers who work with a brush and need a muted green for uniform patterns. It also suits builders of military vehicles for small green equipment items, tarpaulins and haversacks. Thanks to the water base the paint cleans up easily and calls for no solvent thinner, which is appreciated above all by those who build in a living room.

Store the paint in a well-closed bottle out of the reach of children and work in a reasonably ventilated room. The shade as shown on a monitor may differ from the real thing.
