Tamiya Weathering Master G is a set of weathering powders from Tamiya in a compact resembling a powder case, aimed at painting figures (the Figures I range). It holds three flesh shades, salmon, caramel and dark chestnut, together with an applicator with a sponge and a small brush. The powdery, waxy material makes it easy to create smooth transitions on skin, that is both highlights and shadows.

Use

• Pick up a little powder with the applicator and rub it gently onto the skin of the figure
• Highlight the raised areas with the lighter shade and the recesses and shadows with the darker one
• Layering gives soft transitions and a three-dimensional look to the face and hands
• The excess can be wiped off, and the intensity is built up gradually
• The finished effect can be sealed with a matte varnish

Who it is for

For figure modelers who want to shade skin quickly and naturally without laborious paint mixing. Set G (flesh shades) differs from set E for vehicles in its focus on skin; the companion set H widens the range of flesh tones.
