AK interactive Terrains Dry Ground (250 ml)

A ready-made acrylic texture paste from the Spanish brand AK interactive, intended to imitate dry, compacted and parched earth. It is applied straight from the tub with a brush or a spatula in thin as well as thick layers, and once dry it forms a firm, realistically broken surface in a muted earth shade. It is not a paint and not a kit, but a consumable material for making terrain and for weathering. The material holds on the usual substrates such as wood, plaster, polystyrene and the plastic of a base, and it needs no separate primer. The container holds 250 ml of paste ready for immediate use.

Use

• Ideal for dry, dusty and parched earth on dioramas, vignettes and figure bases
• Applied with a brush or a spatula, thinned with water or acrylic thinner as needed
• While the paste is still wet, wheel, track or boot prints can be pressed into the surface
• Small stones, static grass and other materials can be set into the wet surface
• Once dry it can be toned further with washes, filters and pigments for more depth

For modelers and diorama builders who want to create parched terrain quickly and faithfully without lengthy mixing of their own compounds. The dried surface has the matte character of natural earth and makes a good base for the weathering that follows. Suitable for beginners and advanced modelers alike.

A water-based acrylic material. Wash brushes and tools in water immediately after work, let the finished surface dry thoroughly (a matter of hours) and keep the material out of the reach of children.
