Trinity 2 Splattermask is a masking stencil intended for airbrushing mottled, dotted and spattered camouflage patterns. It is not a kit or an accessory for one specific model - it is a universal modeler's tool that is laid on a painted surface, with a second color oversprayed through it. Because the stencil is tied neither to a scale nor to a specific subject, it can be used on vehicles, aircraft and on the surfaces of dioramas and bases.

Use

• Let the base coat cure completely - fresh paint easily takes an imprint or lifts under the stencil.
• Lay the stencil as tightly to the surface as possible; the bigger the gap, the softer and more diffuse the edge of the pattern.
• Spray at right angles, at low pressure and in thin coats - the paint then does not get under the edges of the stencil.
• Build the pattern up gradually and shift and turn the stencil between passes so that the spots do not repeat in a regular grid.
• Clean the stencil once you finish spraying, while the paint is still wet - dried residue clogs the fine cutouts.
