The light blue German Lichtblau RAL 5012 from Lifecolor is a shade on which every layer of dust shows at once, so it calls for a different hand than dark surfaces.

Light shades reveal soiling sooner and more mercilessly than dark ones. On a blue surface even a thin veil of dust shows as a haze, and a little more of it is enough for the surface to stop being blue. That is exactly why this light blue tone, whose name refers to RAL 5012, is worked the opposite way from olive vehicles: the grime is added in tiny steps and checked from a distance as you go.
On a light color, soiling that has direction works best. Vertical streaks running down from the edges, bounded traces around the places that are handled, and fine dusting only where it belongs. A continuous veil over the whole surface, by contrast, makes it look as though the shade had been mixed wrong. Dried mud on a light ground calls for restraint, because the contrast here is so great that even a small patch carries a lot of attention.
For modelers who work with light shades and need to dose their soiling carefully. The shade also serves as a correction with which a clean spot can be returned to a dirtied surface.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children, ensure ventilation when spraying and protect your airways and eyes.
