Lifecolor UA620 Light Gray 5-L is an acrylic paint in the naval gray of the US Navy of the Second World War, 22 ml.
Responsibility details are not available.
A light naval gray of the US Navy of the Second World War in a bottle with a volume of twenty-two milliliters. The designation 5-L is a period naval shade number, not an invention of the manufacturer: the US Navy had its own system of grays and blues from which the individual camouflage Measures were composed. The paint is acrylic, thinned with water or with the brand's own thinner, and applied with a brush as well as an airbrush.
The manufacturer ties this shade to the camouflage Measures of early 1941, specifically to Measures 2, 3, 23 and 32. Ship camouflage changed several times during the war and the individual Measures prescribed which shades went where. That is why with ship models one does not buy a single paint but the whole prescribed set.
Shake the bottle thoroughly, as the pigment settles to the bottom. For a brush the paint is used practically as it is; for an airbrush thin it to the consistency of milk. On ship models spray in thin coats so that the rivets and plate seams stay legible.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children, ventilate when spraying and protect your airways. Close the bottle carefully after use.
