Lifecolor UA622 Dark Gray 5-D is an acrylic paint in the dark naval gray of the US Navy of the Second World War, 22 ml.
Responsibility details are not available.
A dark naval gray of the US Navy of the Second World War in a bottle with a volume of twenty-two milliliters. The designation 5-D is a period shade number from the system the US Navy used for composing camouflage Measures. The paint is acrylic, thinned with water or with the brand's own thinner, and applied with a brush as well as an airbrush.
The manufacturer ties the shade to the camouflage Measures of early 1941, specifically to Measures 1 and 2. The darkest tones were used in ship camouflage on the areas near the waterline, where shade and the reflection of the water naturally deepen a dark color. So when building a particular ship, always find out the period to which the model is depicted.
Shake the bottle thoroughly, as the pigment settles to the bottom. For a brush the paint is used practically as it is; for an airbrush thin it to the consistency of milk. With dark shades expect that on a model they look darker still than in the color reference fan, because the scale effect of the air is missing, so it pays to lighten large areas slightly.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children, ventilate when spraying and protect your airways. Close the bottle carefully after use.
