The name Lifecolor Blinding Moon refers to no standard. It is an acrylic shade from the artistic part of the range, chosen by eye according to how an area is meant to come out on a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Some of the Lifecolor shades carry military and standardized names, others figurative ones. Blinding Moon belongs to the second group. That is not a lack of information but a different way of choosing: such a shade is not bought for agreement with a regulation but because it fits a particular color composition. For custom paintwork, for fantasy subjects, for airbrush graphics or for a scene where the modeler sets the palette.
With colors that have a figurative name it pays to make a test sample of your own. Apply the tone to an offcut of plastic in the same order of coats in which you will use it on the model and let it dry. The tone on a dried sample tends to be different from the one in the container, and the difference shows only against daylight.
Then hold the sample against the part the shade will sit next to. The most rewarding combination arises where a light area and dark metal stand side by side: metal beside a light tone acts heavier and deeper than it would on its own, and the colored area shines more.
For modelers who put their color scheme together themselves, and for everyone who builds subjects outside period regulations.
Work in a ventilated area, close the container carefully after use and keep it out of the reach of children.
