Shadows turn a flat figure into a face, and Flesh 1 Shadow is exactly for them: a water-based acrylic paint for the recesses and folds of skin in the first flesh line.
Responsibility details are not available.
The difference between a passable and a good figure is usually made by the shadow. Without it a face stays flat even when the basic flesh is mixed correctly. Flesh 1 Shadow is a water-based acrylic paint that provides this work in the first flesh line: it is applied into the eye sockets, under the nose, under the lower lip, into the creases and into all the places light does not reach.
Where the shadow belongs and where it does not
A shadow is not laid at random. It follows the shape of the face and the direction of the light, so it keeps under the brows, in the corners of the mouth, under the chin, between the fingers and in the folds of the skin on the neck. It is applied in fine coats and the transition to the basic tone is played out gradually; a sharp edge between a shadow and flesh is the most common reason a figure looks artificial. Choose the measure of the shadow by the scale: in small sizes it is enough to suggest the main recesses, whereas the face of a bust will stand fine grading across the whole area.
The paint belongs in the equipment of modelers of figures and busts who build flesh up in coats and want a shadow ready in a tone that fits the base. It will also serve those who paint figures only occasionally for dioramas and do not want to look for a shadow tone by mixing every time.
