Eight tones for the Ukrainian Su-27 in the so-called pixel camouflage of the kind the machines received after overhaul from 2012. Besides the blue and gray surfaces it holds the colors of the insides of the bays and of the wheel rims.
Responsibility details are not available.
After 2012 the Ukrainian heavy fighters began to come out of overhaul in a camouflage made up of rectangular fields, for which the designation pixel took hold. For it the set offers a quartet of blue tones: a saturated blue, a pearl gray, a light sea blue used until roughly 2015 and a medium sea blue, which replaced it afterwards.
The underside of the machines is covered by a very light sea blue, and the nose and other surfaces transparent to radio waves by a neutral gray tone. It is precisely the difference between the antenna cover and the surrounding skin that tends to be clearly visible on photographs and on a model it pays not to leave it out.
The remaining two bottles belong to the details that decide the credibility of finished work. A saturated red matches the inner surfaces of the landing gear bays, the doors and the airbrake, which on this family of aircraft are conspicuously colorful spaces. A willow green is intended for the wheel rims, which on the machines after upgrading differ in color from the rest of the landing gear.
The package is built for one particular look of one type, but it covers it down to the last detail. A builder therefore does not have to fine-tune the shades by mixing and risk neighboring fields of the pattern parting company in color.
