A CMK modeling saw with very fine teeth is intended for precise cuts in plastic and resin with a minimum removal of material.
Responsibility details are not available.
A hand saw from the Czech brand CMK intended for modeling work. Very fine teeth mean a narrow kerf and smooth edges, so it suits places where an ordinary saw would take too much material away or fray the edge. Typically this is the dividing of kit parts, the cutting off of casting blocks on resin castings and cuts in places where an exact length has to be kept. The exact dimensions of the blade and any accessories are given on the packaging.
Guide the saw lightly and let it work under its own weight. Pressure will not speed the cut up, it only deflects the blade and raises the risk of its breaking or sliding across the surface. Always support the part as close as possible to the place of the cut, so that the plastic does not bend, and start the cut with a few strokes toward yourself. With longer straight cuts it helps to guide the blade along a metal ruler. Level the burr that arises with a sanding stick. Cut resin wet or with respiratory protection, because resin dust is not suitable for breathing in.
For modelers who build plastic kits and work with resin accessories and who need a clean cut without a needless removal of material. It will find a use just as well on aviation models as on vehicles.
A tool with a sharp blade. Store out of the reach of children and protect the fingers holding the part as you work.
