US Modern AFVs (FS 33446) - Mr.Paint

A pre-thinned lacquer (acrylic lacquer) modeling paint from Mr.Paint intended for airbrush application only. The shade matches the desert sand (tan) color of the Federal Standard 595 standard (FS 33446, also known as Tan 686A), the base shade of modern American armored vehicles. US Army fighting vehicles have been painted in this color since the Gulf War of 1991 — the M1 Abrams tank and the M2/M3 Bradley fighting vehicles, for example — and it remains the standard American desert color to this day. The paint is ready to spray straight from the bottle, has a fine pigment and good covering power, dries quickly and leaves a semi-gloss surface.

• The base desert finish of modern American armored vehicles (M1 Abrams, M2/M3 Bradley and others)
• The single-color sand (tan) scheme of the US Army from the Gulf War to the present
• Applied with an airbrush in thin coats, ideally over a good primer
• Thin with the matching lacquer paint thinner from the same brand if needed
