A USB cable with a USB-C end from DSPIAE. It is not a building tool and not a part for a model, but a small piece of bench equipment with which you connect a charger or a computer port to a device fitted with a USB-C input.
Why keep a spare cable at the bench
More and more things are charged at a modeling bench these days: cordless drills and grinders, hand saws, desk lamps, dust extractors and the phone with the instructions open on it. The cable from one device regularly wanders off to another, and the search costs you the work in progress. Your own cable that stays at the bench prevents that.
Wear is worth reckoning with too. The connector is the weakest link in the whole current path; after hundreds of insertions it works loose and charging starts to drop out. A spare cable in the bench drawer is therefore useful even while everything still works.
The USB-C end is symmetrical, it goes in either way up and most newer equipment has it. If your tool uses an older Micro USB or a Lightning connector, you need a different version of the cable.
For anyone who has at least one rechargeable device with a USB-C connector at the bench and does not want to hunt around the flat for a cable every time. Before buying, check what type of input your tool has.
Use the cable only with a charger matching the ratings of your device. Do not go on using a damaged or kinked cable, and do not run it over a sharp edge of the bench.
