Waterslide Decals - Caution Strips and Signs

Decals with warning stripes and safety signs

The set holds sheets of waterslide decals with motifs that in reality appear everywhere there is a risk of injury: diagonal yellow and black stripes, prohibition and warning plates, strips along the edges of ramps and markings for hazardous areas. These are not decals for a particular kit but free motif material. On a model they suit the edges of loading ramps, hangar doors, industrial buildings, containers and equipment. The manufacturer Green Stuff World states a fully colored opaque finish and application with plain water without a solvent.

Use

• Varnish the base under the decal to a gloss, as white patches would form under the film on a matte surface.
• Dip the motif you have cut out in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it will move on the backing.
• Transfer the decal onto the model, line it up and press the water out from underneath with a cotton swab.
• Apply long stripes in shorter sections, as a continuous band ripples easily over an edge.
• Once it is dry, give the whole thing a matte coat and weather the signs so that they do not look new.

Who it is for

The set suits builders of industrial and military dioramas, railway modelers and tabletop gamers. Warning stripes are among the details that give a scene scale and legibility, and they go on quickly.

A decal softener, a setting solution and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
