Wet Sandpaper 2000 from AK interactive is a sandpaper of 2000 grit for wet sanding, for final smoothing before painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A very fine grit intended for the last stage of surface preparation. The paper is built for work with water, so the grit does not fill with dust and clog; that is fundamental with a grit this fine, because a clogged paper stops cutting and starts polishing the surface unevenly. It is not a tool for removing material but for fine-tuning an area that is already almost finished.
Wet the paper and the spot being sanded regularly and rinse the slurry away as it forms, since that slurry is what shows the sanding is working. There is no need to press, as with a fine grit the movement does the work rather than the force. Sand in short strokes alternating in two directions so that no parallel scratches form, then let the area dry off and check it against the light. Always work from coarser grits to finer ones; if you skip a step, a fine paper will not remove deeper scratches, it will only polish them and they will show up again under the finish. Wet sanding also has the advantage of raising no sanding dust.
For modelers who finish a surface under a gloss coat and for everyone who works with filler and wants a joint between parts with no trace left.
The contents of the package and the dimensions of the sheet are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging. After sanding, rinse the area and let it dry thoroughly before you start painting.
