White Forest Trail is a loose Modellers World pigment in a light, whitish shade of the dust of a forest trail. It is used for dusting the lower areas of models and for dust effects on a diorama.

This light earth pigment with a whitish cast matches the dry dust on a trodden or rutted track in sandy and limy terrain. On dark shades of camouflage it is markedly visible, so it is good to work with anywhere the dustiness is to be apparent at first glance. It is a loose powder with no binder, not a paint.
Dust does not settle evenly in nature. Apply it in layers, and between them step back and look at the model from a distance. A light shade looks better when it blends with darker earth; a continuous white coating looks chalky. Fix it only at the end with a fixative or a light matte varnish, and count on the fixing darkening the shade slightly, so apply rather more than you want to see.
Do not inhale the fine powder, work in a ventilated room, close the container and keep out of the reach of children.
