A palette of eight shades for American vehicles and infantry of the late Cold War. It covers the sand and brown tones of desert schemes as well as the greens of the European front, in 17 ml each.

The army of the United States spent the 1980s preparing for a clash in Europe which in the end did not happen. From that comes the abbreviation for the Third World War that the name of this assortment carries. The vehicles of that time went through a change of finish: the older multicolored camouflage was succeeded by a scheme of three tones, which from the middle of the decade was laid on according to exact templates.
The eight bottles of seventeen milliliters are put together so as to manage both variants and the infantry with them. A light sand and khaki serve for the desert versions, a muddy brown and a brown-green for the European form. A dark green and a shade named mirror green make up the base of the surface of a vehicle, and a dark gray-black tone closes the scheme off and at the same time suits rubber parts and shadows.
The paints are acrylic and are thinned with water. On large areas it pays to thin them more and lay them on twice, or a rim will show at the edge of a part. The paints hold on resin and on photo-etching too, as long as the surface is freed of grease beforehand. The package consists of the bottles alone; a model and templates do not belong to it.
