An enamel (synthetic, solvent-based) modeling paint from Tamiya in shade X-1, a saturated gloss black. The paint comes in a glass bottle with a volume of 10 ml and is applied with a brush or an airbrush onto practically any surface: plastic, metal and wood. It is thinned with Tamiya X-20 enamel thinner (note: not with the acrylic X-20A). Thanks to its slower drying it flows out excellently and suits fine detail and washes.
For modelers building plastic models of aircraft, vehicles, equipment and figures who need a dependable gloss black for details, metal areas and as an undercoat for accentuating techniques. The enamel base is valued above all for washes and for accentuating panel lines.
A solvent-based enamel paint, flammable and irritating, and it gives off vapors. Use in a well-ventilated area, protect your skin and airways, and keep away from open flame and out of the reach of children.
