XF-24 Dark Grey 10ml

Tamiya XF-24 Dark Grey — matte acrylic paint, 10 ml

The dark gray Tamiya XF-24 Dark Grey is a classic part of the modeling palette. It is not a kit — it is a modeling paint, that is a bottle of a ready shade of 10 ml from the Acrylic MINI line. The letter F in the XF designation means flat, that is a matte surface; Tamiya has its gloss shades in the X line. The manufacturer itself recommends this dark gray for the camouflage of German aircraft.

Use

• Camouflage areas of German aircraft according to the manufacturer; and more generally as a dark gray for armament, vehicles and accessories.
• Usable with an airbrush and a brush — both are standard with the Tamiya acrylic line. Stir the paint well before work.
• Use the acrylic X-20A as thinner. The X-20 thinner belongs to enamel paints; do not use it on acrylic.
• Thin it more for an airbrush and less for a brush — the aim is a creamy consistency with no brush marks.
• Before the decals go on, give the area a gloss clear coat. A matte surface traps air under a decal and the film then shows as a silvery edge.

Who it is for

For builders of aircraft and military vehicles who need a reliable dark gray — whether for camouflage or for small items such as tires, armament and shaded parts. A matte surface is faithful to the real thing: real combat vehicles did not shine, and washes and pigments for weathering settle on it beautifully.

Use the paint only in well-ventilated spaces. Protect your airways with a respirator when applying it with an airbrush. Store out of the reach of children.
