Tamiya XF-26 Deep Green — matte acrylic paint, 10 ml

Tamiya XF-26 Deep Green is a rich, deeply pitched green in a bottle of 10 ml from the Acrylic MINI acrylic range. A reminder that this is a modeling paint, not a kit — you are buying a shade with which to paint a model. The XF range means a matte final finish, unlike the gloss X range. The manufacturer itself recommends this shade for the camouflage finish of German aircraft.

Use

• The green component of camouflage schemes of German aircraft, as recommended by the manufacturer.
• It also serves well as a dark green for military vehicles, crates, tarpaulins and diorama accessories.
• It is applied with an airbrush as well as with a brush; to spray soft camouflage transitions, thin the paint further and spray from a shorter distance at lower pressure.
• Thinner: the acrylic X-20A. Do not confuse it with X-20, which is intended for enamels.
• Before you start with decals, spray a gloss clear coat — over matte green a silvery edge would show around the decal film. You bring the matte finish back with a matte varnish at the very end.
