Tamiya XF-66 Light Grey (Enamel) is a matte enamel (synthetic, solvent-based) modeling paint in a 10 ml bottle, a light gray for aircraft camouflage, lightening shades and base coats. It is thinned with X-20 thinner, not with the acrylic X-20A.

This is a modeling paint, not a kit. Specifically it is an enamel, that is a solvent-based (synthetic) paint from Tamiya in a bottle of 10 ml. The XF range means a matte surface. The shade Light Grey is a light, neutral gray; the manufacturer lists it as a gray suitable for the camouflage of German aircraft. In practice it is one of the most universal tones in a palette, as light grays are among the paints that run out first in a workshop.
This variant of XF-66 is an enamel and is thinned with X-20 enamel thinner (without the letter A). Do not confuse it with the acrylic version of the same shade number, which is water-thinnable and is used with X-20A. Both ranges are sold under the same designation, but the thinners cannot be swapped. For spraying, the manufacturer recommends about 2 parts thinner to 10 parts paint.
For aircraft and military modelers working with enamel paints, both as a direct topcoat shade and as a working light gray for mixing and modulation. Stir the bottle properly before use. Never spray lacquer paints over cured enamel.
Safety: flammable. It irritates the airways: work in a well-ventilated area and use respiratory protection when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children.
