Tamiya XF-71 Cockpit Green (IJN) is an acrylic (water-thinnable) modeling paint from Tamiya of 23 ml. The XF designation means a matte (flat) finish. The green shade captures the color of the cockpit interiors of Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) aircraft of the Second World War, the Zero fighters for example. The paint can be applied with a brush as well as an airbrush and is thinned with Tamiya X-20A acrylic thinner.

Use

  • painting the cockpit interiors of Japanese naval (IJN) aircraft of the Second World War
  • also suitable for other interior surfaces and cockpit details in this shade
  • applied with a brush, or thinned with X-20A thinner and sprayed with an airbrush
  • shake well before use; apply in thin coats and let them dry
  • fresh paint can be washed off with water before it dries; use X-20A for thinning
