A metallic blue shade from the Xtreme Metal range by AK Interactive. It is not a blue with added glitter, but a finish meant to look like lacquered metal: its brightness shifts with the viewing angle while the surface stays smooth. It comes into its own anywhere the surface should look like polished metal lacquer, not sprayed plastic.
The metallic look lives or dies by the base. Every scratch, fingerprint or trace of sanding dust remains visible under a metallic coat, often more visibly than under a matte paint. So smooth, wash and degrease the surface before spraying, and let it dry fully. It is worth doing a test spray on a piece of plastic treated the same way as your model, since the resulting tone varies with the base.
Apply thin coats and let each one flash off; a thick coat of a metallic shade tends to develop mottling and uneven gloss. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for the thinner, the mixing ratio and cleaning your tools, and use a thinner made for this range. Before applying a topcoat or decals, test on a scrap piece that the finish is compatible with the other product.
Only the paint itself is supplied. Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
